COVID-19 General Resources for Clinicians

Several professional clinical organizations, government agencies, and other institutions have developed “resource pages” to guide clinical practice during the COVID-19 pandemic. Select pages are provided below. 

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

American Academy of Pediatrics

American Academy of Family Physicians

  • AAFP page on clinical resources and patient education for COVID-19.

Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine

  • The Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine (SAHM) is the leading professional organization for adolescent health in the United States. SAHM’s resource page links to a range of COVID-19 materials for clinicians & researchers, as well as parents and teens.

The Journal of Adolescent Health 

  • Through SAHM, the Journal of Adolescent Health (JAH) is dedicated to publishing and disseminating medical breakthroughs relevant to adolescent health. As part of their effort, the JAH has made all COVID-19 related articles open-access to the public.  
  • Emans et al. report on the impact COVID-19 has had on adolescent and young adult clinics, identifying policy changes and adaptations implemented to assure healthcare services continue with the minimum of interruption. 

American College Health Association

  • The ACHA’s page shares resources for clinicians at college health services, including videos on mental health and telemedicine. The page also offers guidance for campus leaders and educational tools on COVID-19.

School-Based Health Alliance

  • The School-Based Health Alliance features a COVID-19 page specific to changes, adaptations, and updates regarding school-based health centers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
