Technology as clinician extender in the delivery of clinical preventive services (C. Wong, MD, Duke U; E. Weitzman PhD & S. Harris, PhD BCH/HU; E. Ozer, PhD, UCSF)
Led by Dr. Wong, this effort expands on the AYAH-RN’s review article on Clinical Preventive Services and a workshop presented that the 2017 SAHM meeting. The researchers are conducting a literature review that examines four types of technology: social media, wearable devices, health and wellness apps, and other technologies. For of these technology types, they are reviewing four domains: feasibility/acceptability; efficacy; connectedness to clinical care; opportunities. The researchers have made significant progress on the literature review. They anticipate completing a manuscript for submission to a peer-review journal by Fall 2017.
