This user-friendly assessment tool serves as a checklist for professionals to plan and evaluate health care components for adolescents in managed care settings, and for outside agencies to monitor the performance of managed care programs for adolescents. The tool was developed as the result of a collaborative project conducted the San Francisco Department of Public Health, NAHIC, and a number of community-based organizations. The goal was to use a community-based process to create a tool for monitoring the responsiveness of managed care organizations to the needs of adolescents.
