Brian Villa, MPH, MSW, works with i4Y – Innovations for Youth at UC Berkeley to engage young people in California in Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR). YPAR focuses on the lived experience of youth and the integration of their voice into decision-making. Brian has been creating a YPAR dashboard and interactive map, which when complete will enable youth, community members, district leaders, and policymakers to navigate to different YPAR projects, connecting youth to each other and to policymakers and strengthening the visibility of youth-generated evidence, ultimately impacting local, regional, and state policy decisions. The project ultimately aims to promote the use of youth generated evidence, lifting youth voices and expertise.
